CAP Program: Prism is officially a part of The Community Artist Program (CAP)!
Through this program, Prism can offer your Dallas community free performances and classes in things like dance, stage combat, mime, clown, capoeria, weight sharing, devised theater, and well anything else movement-related! As long as the event you're trying to organize is open to the public, you can sign up for our services!
CAP provides artist services to Dallas communities by ALAANA (African, Latinx, Asian, Arab, and Native American) and other individual artists and non-profit organizations to teach, perform, and exhibit at host facilities in neighborhoods around the City of Dallas. CAP cultivates collaborations between artists and communities. This program helps promote cultural awareness, heightens citizen understanding of art forms, and celebrates the various traditions that contribute to the composition of this city.Services are requested of CAP artists and organizations on an as-needed, when-needed basis. This means that if you need an artist for an event, we may be able to help! TACA Catalyst Grant: Prism Movement Theater was officially awarded the TACA Catalyst Grant! This funding will help us continue our educational and outreach operations while we prep for our future productions! Keep your eyes peeled in August!
The Catalyst Grant program, previously known as the Arts General Operating (AGO) Grant Program, is TACA’s largest granting program. Catalyst Grants are designed to be a catalyst in strengthening Dallas’ vibrant arts community and to support art that is a catalyst for positive impact and transformation. Catalyst Grants provide unrestricted funding to nonprofit arts organizations in Dallas County to use as they see fit on an array of expenses, including program costs, salaries, administration, office expenses, technology, or to meet other operational needs.
